WHAT DO YOU DO IF SOMEONE IS UNRESPONSIVE?

 

• Make sure the scene is safe

 

• Shake the person and see if they talk to you or move.  Check to see if they are breathing.  Check to see if they have a pulse

 

•   If they are unresponsive, call 911 and get an adult to help.  Get the AED if there is one close by

 

• Start CPR right away or have an adult start CPR

 

• Continue CPR until the ambulance arrives or the person begins to wake up
